Bagpiper In 2006 The Honored Clan was Clan MacGregor with a special spotlight recognizing John MacGregor, the piper who died piping at the final battle of the Alamo. Our Scottish re-enactors included the Celtic Women Warriors. Also participating were Clan MacTavish, Clan Gunn, Clan Lindsay, Clan Donald USA, Clan Cummings, Clan MacKay, Clan Hunter and Clan MacIntyre. The organizations participating were: The Texas Scottish Heritage Society, Trinity Scottish Society, the American Bagpipes and the Houston Highland Games Assn. There was a Clan Information Center to provide clan information and direct attendees to the clan of their ancestry located in front of the Woodland Home.
